Madame Ida Teeuwen

Probably the oldest label in the Kunstmuseum. In 1862, Ida Teeuwen advertised that she had opened a fashion house on Hoogstraat. In 1864, she announced her move to Botersloot 535, and in 1866 to Oppert 6-205. A Rotterdam address book from 1873 lists her at Oppert 95, the address on label KOS-3000-0404. — T. Westland (09-2026)
